Bristol-based alt-rock force IOTA return with their most fearless release to date, Pony. A track that pushes the band into new emotional and sonic territory while marking their first-ever collaborative feature alongside Heaven Unknown.
At its core, Pony is about breaking the mold, owning your mistakes, and refusing to fear the consequences. It’s a song rooted in self-reckoning, capturing the raw, vulnerable, but ultimately liberating process of standing fully in your truth. Across surging guitars and shifting textures, IOTA explores what it means to embrace every part of yourself: the good, the bad, and the imperfect.
To bring the song’s emotional weight to life, the band collaborated with Will, the powerful lead vocalist of Heaven Unknown. His appearance in the latter half of the track not only adds a striking duality of voices, but also ushers IOTA into a heavier, more urgent sonic landscape.
“It was a song we really felt needed two voices,” the band explained. “Working with Will allowed us to pull out a different intensity and step into a heavier sound we’d been wanting to explore. It’s our first feature as IOTA, and it just felt right.”
Having just completed opening for Heart Attack Man on their UK and European tour, Pony stands as a pivotal moment for IOTA: Bold, honest, and unafraid to experiment. The collaboration adds depth without losing the band’s signature emotional clarity, marking an exciting new chapter for their evolving sound.
